2016 Women of the Year Awards

The Car Care Council Women’s Board annually honors deserving women in the industry with the Women of the Year Awards.

Award winners will be honored at a press conference Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 during AAPEX at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

2016 Auto Care Woman of the Year

Has provided significant leadership and contribution to the auto care community throughout her career.  These contributions may be cultural, educational, social, economic, political, business or any other areas that impact the lives of people in our industry and community.

Criteria:

  • Must have a record of achievement and leadership within the auto care industry
  • Must have made extraordinary contributions as a volunteer, over and above her professional responsibilities, that has helped to address a pertinent need, problem or issue, or has made a difference that improves the quality of life for others within the auto care industry and/or community
  • Is a woman with vision whom impacts and motivates others to join her cause
  • Dedicated to developing and mentoring future female leaders by exercising role model behaviors and career coaching

2016 Female Shop Owner of the Year

Has provided recent outstanding contributions to the auto care industry while demonstrating role model behaviors, leadership and commitment to the advancement of women.

Criteria:

  • Must be at least 51 percent owner of her shop
  • Must own a shop in the auto care industry – independent repair shop, tire center, heavy duty repair shop
  • Must be involved in extra curricular activity within the auto care industry
  • Has proven leadership ability and commitment to the advancement of women in the auto care industry
  • Dedicated to educating female consumers so they can make informed decisions about the repairs and service of their vehicles

2016 Auto Care Woman of Excellence

Has provided recent outstanding contributions to the auto care industry while demonstrating role model behaviors, leadership and commitment to the advancement of women.

Criteria:

  • Must be a 2016 – 2017 associate of the Car Care Council Women’s Board
  • Has made recent outstanding contributions to the auto care industry
  • Has dedicated herself to progression in the auto care industry
  • Has been an influential role model whom encourages excellence
  • Has proven leadership ability and commitment to the advancement of women
