The following Automotive Badge Workshop Guides were developed for troops of Junior and Cadette/Senior Girl Scouts in Henry County, Tenn. However, because they would work well for Girl Scout troops anywhere, the Women's Board has obtained permission from the local scout leader to reproduce this document on our Web site. This program also can be adapted for other groups including women's clubs, school groups and civic organizations. The Women's Board of the Car Care Council is not affiliated with the Girl Scouts of America.

Women are a vital part of the automotive aftermarket. In fact, women make up 50-80 percent of service provider customers. What can your repair facility or retail store do to promote its products and services to this market? Host an automotive badge workshop for local Girl Scout troops.

A badge workshop provides the opportunity to show young women why car maintenance is important to ensure safety, dependability and greater return on investment. This event allows you to start early in creating tomorrow's customers.
