Core - the old failed engine. Usually when you have a remanufactured engine installed there will be a core deposit required that will be refunded after your old engine is returned.
Head - the upper part of the engine. Air and fuel come into the engine through the head and exhaust gases leave the engine through the head.
Piston - a larger cylindrical part that moves inside the engine during operation. It is one of the main components in the operation of the engine.
Seal
- a part that prevents lubricant from passing through the space between two parts.
Rebuilt - refers to the process of reconditioning your existing engine to meet industry standard specifications.
Remanufactured - refers to the process of reconditioning a used or "core" engine to meet industry standard specifications.
Repower - the replacing of your old failed engine with a remanufactured/rebuilt engine.
Original Equipment - refers to the vehicle manufacturer.
Components - the accesory parts that usually are not supplied with a rebuilt/remanufactured engine; such as fuel injectors, sensors, filters, belts and hoses.
Used Engine - an engine that has been removed from a vehicle that was taken to a junk yard.
