Description: The heating, ventilating and air conditioning system (HVAC) includes all of the components and controls responsible for keeping the interior of your car at a comfortable temperature.

Purpose: The HVAC system provides heating and cooling as needed and as where directed by the system controls. HVAC is not only important for comfort; it’s also a key safety system for maintaining good visibility.

Maintenance Tips/Suggestions: Proper HVAC operation requires normal operation of all parts of the control circuits. As an example, a failed temperature switch may cause faulty, erratic or no compressor operation, affecting cooling. Problems with HVAC switches and electrical circuits may cause no or abnormal heating or cooling, or erratic temperature control. To determine the root cause, have the HVAC system looked at by a professional technician.
