The non-profit Car Care Council’s vehicle check-up event for Midland-area motorists will feature free window chip repairs by Belle Tire. The inaugural event will be held in conjunction with the 49th Annual Northwood University International Auto Show on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Dow High School at the corner of North Saginaw Road and West Main Street.
“This exciting community car care event is an excellent opportunity for motorists to have their vehicles checked by professional service technicians, ask questions of the techs and learn more about their vehicles, all in a no-cost, no-pressure, no-selling environment,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “With the generous addition of free window chip repairs by Belle Tire, there is even more reason to stop by and have your vehicle checked out.”
In recognition of Fall Car Care Month in October, the Midland event will feature professional technicians performing vehicle inspections including checking oil and coolant levels, tire pressure, filters, hoses, belts and lighting. Motorists will have the mobile casino opportunity to ask questions of technicians about their vehicle and can talk with aftermarket experts hosting educational demonstrations. Students from Northwood University and Delta College will be onsite to learn and assist with event activities. Gift bags with giveaways will be given to all attendees, including a free copy of the council’s popular Car Care Guide.
In addition to Belle Tire, many other companies have stepped forward to support this free event including sponsors Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Delphi, Federal-Mogul, MAHLE Original Filters, Motown Automotive, PlastiKote, SKF, Standard Motor Products, Tenneco, Trico, Four Seasons, Raybestos Brake & Chassis, Advics, Beck/Arnley, Mitchell 1 and Schaeffler Group USA.
“As a non-profit organization, Car Care Council truly appreciates the support of so many aftermarket companies to help us bring car care to Midland at no cost to area motorists,” continued White. “Hosting an event like this takes a lot of people coming together to do something good for the community. We thank them all.”
